Joseph Esformes, MSc, PhD, CSCS, serves as a Senior Lecturer in Strength and Conditioning at Cardiff Metropolitan University since September 2006, where responsibilities include leading postgraduate modules and supervising research projects. In addition to teaching, Joseph is involved with Functional Movement Systems as an instructor, teaching courses on Functional Movement Screening and Corrective Exercise, and is the Head of Research and Development at FMS Schools Movement. Joseph holds positions on the Board of Directors at the International Association of Strength and Conditioning and as a Review Editor for Frontiers. Previous experience includes developing a testing protocol for the powrlink sensor device and serving as the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for the National Scottish Women's Water Polo Team. Joseph's educational background includes a PhD in Exercise Physiology from the University of Leeds and an MSc in Sport and Exercise Science from The Manchester Metropolitan University.
