Alejandro Muñoz Fernández

Alejandro Muñoz Fernández is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in scientific communication and media production. Currently, Alejandro serves as a scientific journalist at CSIC, contributing to the third edition of the CSIC - Fundación BBVA Scientific Communication Aid program. Other roles include collaboration with Hispasat and contributions to the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology's SINC News Agency, where Alejandro produces news articles, interviews, and multimedia reports, achieving recognition as a finalist for the Transfiere 2022 journalism award. Alejandro's background also includes video contributions for Mongabay, PR and digital communication for CULTPROJECT, and communications roles within the Ministry of Science and Innovation and the Embassy of Spain in Washington, D.C. Alejandro holds a Dual Degree in Journalism and Film, Television, and Media Studies from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, and is pursuing a Master’s in Innovation in Journalism at Universidad Miguel Hernández de Elche.
