Chakravarthy Kosaraju

SVP Silicon Design Validation at Fungible

Chakravarthy Kosaraju has a diverse range of work experience in the technology industry. Chakravarthy began their career at Intel Corp in 1990, where they worked as a Cluster Manager and played a key role in the design and verification activities of various processors. Chakravarthy then joined Ample Communications in 2000, where they served as the Director of Engineering and was responsible for the development of 1G/10G TOE ASIC. Chakravarthy also made significant contributions to the development and definition of PCIe.

In 2007, Kosaraju joined Juniper Networks as the Director of Engineering, leading the development of multiple generations of Queue'ing and switching ASICs. Chakravarthy also introduced important initiatives such as low power design methodology and outsourcing of design and verification activities.

After working at Juniper Networks for six years, Kosaraju moved to Qualcomm in 2013 and held the position of Sr. Director, Engineering. Here, they led and managed engineering teams on the development of WiFi IP for various Handheld market and Access Point SoCs. Chakravarthy successfully delivered multiple WiFi IPs and Access Point SoCs with first-pass silicon success.

Most recently, Kosaraju joined Fungible, Inc. in 2017 as the SVP of Silicon Design & Validation. Chakravarthy built and led a world-wide silicon team that developed the Fungible DPU, a highly programmable data processor for the cloud. Chakravarthy was responsible for the complete lifecycle of the SoC, from definition to silicon execution to volume production. Under their leadership, the team achieved first-pass silicon success for multiple generations of DPUs.

Throughout their career, Kosaraju has demonstrated a strong track record of delivering high-quality products and leading successful engineering teams.

Chakravarthy Kosaraju holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech. Chakravarthy also completed the Engineering Leadership Professional Program (ELPP) at UC Berkeley College of Engineering in 2016. Chakravarthy obtained their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. Prior to their higher education, they attended Little Flower Jr. College, although specific details about their degree or field of study are unavailable.
