Maleik Edwards

Maleik Edwards has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Maleik most recently served as the Head of Communications, Events and Sponsorship at Funlab Pty Ltd, where they held various roles from 2017 to the present. Prior to this, Maleik worked as a Marketing Manager at 100 Burgers Group from 2015 to 2017 and as a General Manager at Mr Burger from 2013 to 2015. Maleik also gained valuable experience as a Project Manager at MintTix and Glownet in 2012, where they worked on developing online ticketing systems and RFID platforms for music festivals and events. Maleik also worked as a Marketing and Project Manager at Rhythm and Vines and BW Campgrounds from 2006 to 2012, overseeing festival attendees and event planning. Maleik started their career as a Committee Advisor and Management Board Secretary at Wellington City Council in 2010 and as a Temporary Employee at MidCity Personnel from 2010 to 2011. Maleik also served as a Parliamentary Intern and Executive Assistant at the New Zealand Parliament from 2009 to 2010.

Maleik Edwards completed their education at Victoria University of Wellington, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science and Government from 2006 to 2008. Maleik then pursued further studies at the same institution and obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Honours - First Class) degree in Political Science and Government and Criminology in 2009. In addition to their academic achievements, Maleik has obtained several certifications in various areas of digital advertising, including Google Ads Display Certification, Google Ads Search Certification, Google Ads Video Certification, Google Analytics Individual Qualification, and Google Shopping Ads Certification, all of which were obtained in April 2020.
