Richard Meurling

Technical Lead at FunPlus

Richard Meurling has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning from 2005 to present. Richard started their own phone application company called Gorthwogh in 2005 where they developed and released apps on the app-store and android market, including a remake of an old 1980s game that garnered over 3 million downloads. In 2007, they joined Gilbarco Veeder Root where they developed software for payment terminals and gas-station control systems and also led the architectural design of a large-scale server/client status reporting system for a major Scandinavian oil company. From 2012 to 2014, they worked as a software developer consultant at Consid AB, collaborating with various clients and utilizing different languages and techniques. In 2014, they joined King, a team of 12 developers called Candy Crush, where they worked as a C++ game developer primarily focusing on gameplay and tools. Later, they became a Senior C++ Developer and Development Manager before leaving in May 2020. Currently, they work as a Technical Lead at FunPlus, starting in May 2020.

Richard Meurling attended Gripenskolan from 1995 to 1998, where they studied computer science. Richard then went on to pursue a degree in computer science at Linköping University from 2000 to 2006. No specific degree name is provided for their education at either institution.
