Ashim Roy

Ashim Roy has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Ashim started their career as a Senior Research Geo-Scientist at REGIONAL CENTRE FOR RESEARCH AND EXPLORATION, AMD in 1986 and held this position until 2007. Ashim then served as the Chief Geologist at AFCON Infrastructure Ltd for nine months before joining Reliance Industries Ltd as a Senior Manager of Business Development. In 2008, they became the General Manager at Mohan Exports (India) Pvt. Ltd. and held this position until 2011. From 2011 to 2017, Ashim worked at Gemfields Plc, where they served as the Head of Production Planning and Exploration and later as the General Manager for MRM Afr. In 2017, they worked as a Principle Consultant while being self-employed, before joining Fura Gems Inc. as the Vice President of Operations in November 2017.

Ashim Roy's education history includes completing a Bachelor of Science (honors) degree in Geology, Physics, and Chemistry from Delhi University between 1980 and 1983. Following this, they pursued further studies at Delhi University and obtained a Master of Science and Master of Business Administration degree in Applied Geology, which they completed between 1980 and 1985.
