Melanie Armstrong

Mentoring Coordinator at Furman University

Melanie Armstrong is currently the Mentoring Coordinator at Furman University. Prior to this, they worked as the Associate Alumni Director at Furman University from October 2001 to July 2006. There, they were responsible for planning all alumni events during Furman Homecoming, including organizing a picnic for 700 participants and an outdoor concert for 1,000 people. Melanie also worked closely with local vendors in the Greenville area to plan dinners, receptions, luncheons, staging, lighting, and entertainment. In addition, they updated the alumni website and conducted a reunion committee training session for over 50 volunteers.

From October 1999 to October 2001, Melanie worked as the Business Manager at the Westin Poinsett Hotel. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing the hotel's finances and operations.

Melanie has a long history of working in event planning and management. Melanie is highly organized and efficient, with a proven track record of success in executing large-scale events. Her experience in working with vendors, budgeting, and marketing makes their an asset to any organization.

Melanie Armstrong has a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from the University of Utah and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Furman University.
