Dr Shing Hei Zhan completed his PhD (direct entry) at the University of British Columbia as a CIHR Banting and Best Doctoral Research Awardee with Prof. Sarah Otto, a MacArthur Fellow and a member of the National Academy of Sciences of the USA. He has published 22 peer-reviewed articles on a broad range of topics – evolutionary biology and ecology, microbiology, laboratory medicine, bioinformatics, and genomics – in reputed journals, such as Science and Nature. He has been overseeing the development of bioinformatics methodologies at Fusion Genomics Corp. since the founding of the company.
