Brigitte Thériault

Brigitte Thériault has over 20 years of work experience in the field of biological research. Brigitte is currently working as the Director of Biology at Fusion Pharmaceuticals since 2022. Prior to that, Brigitte worked at the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research from 2013 to 2022, where they held multiple roles. These included being a Senior Research Scientist in the Drug Discovery Group, where they focused on the development of immunomodulatory kinase inhibitors for the treatment of colorectal cancers, inhibitors for the treatment of AML, and BCL6 inhibitors for the treatment of lymphoma. Brigitte also worked as a Research Fellow, where they validated novel targets in pancreatic cancer.

Brigitte's career started at Jellett Biotek in 1999, where they worked as an R&D Research Associate. Brigitte then joined Dalhousie University, where they served as a Laboratory Manager from 2001 to 2003 and completed their PhD in 2007. Following that, they worked as a Post-Doctoral Research Scientist at the University Health Network from 2008 to 2012.

Brigitte Thériault's education history begins in 1994 at Université de Moncton, where they obtained a Diploma in Health Sciences until 1996. Brigitte then attended Dalhousie University from 1996 to 1999, earning a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Microbiology and Immunology. In 2004, Brigitte pursued a Certification in Registered Laboratory Animal Technician from Dalhousie University, which they completed in 2005. Continuing their education at Dalhousie University, they furthered their studies in Pharmacology, earning a PhD degree from 2003 to 2007.

Additionally, Brigitte has obtained an additional certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods from the Public Health Agency of Canada in October 2021.
