Gary Lunger

Head, Medical Science Liaison at Fusion Pharmaceuticals

Gary Lunger has over 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. Gary currently serves as the Head of Medical Science Liaison at Fusion Pharmaceuticals since March 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Bayer HealthCare for nearly 10 years, where they served as the Deputy Director of Oncology Marketing, responsible for strategic development and integration of brand and customer strategies. Gary also managed both brand and customer marketing teams and played a key role in the successful launch of Xofigo® in the United States. Gary also held the position of National Deputy Director of Radiotherapy Specialists at Bayer HealthCare from February 2015 to March 2017.

From 2017 to 2021, Gary worked at Progenics Pharmaceuticals, Inc. as the Senior Director of Sales and Marketing. Gary played a crucial role in shaping the sales and marketing strategies of the company. Before that, they worked at GlaxoSmithKline Oncology for over 7 years, where they held the positions of Assistant Director of Clinical Development and Senior Therapeutic Radiation Liaison. Gary began their career at General Electric as a Nuclear Medicine Applications Specialist in 1990. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in marketing, sales, strategic development, and clinical development.

Gary Lunger received their education from several institutions. In 1982, they attended Misericordia University and obtained an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Radiologic Sciences, which they completed in 1984. Following that, in 1985, Lunger attended Geisinger Medical Center to earn a Certificate in Nuclear Medicine Technology, which they completed in 1986.

Later, Lunger pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Radiologic Sciences from Florida College of Health Sciences. Gary enrolled in 2003 and completed their degree in 2006. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Radiologic and Imaging Sciences from Jefferson Health. Lunger enrolled in 2006 and completed their studies in 2007.
