Samuel Shirley

Samuel Shirley has a diverse work experience that spans multiple industries. Samuel is currently serving as the Chief Underwriting Officer, M&A at Fusion Specialty since June 2023. Prior to this, they held positions at Aviva as a Senior Underwriter from November 2018 to June 2022, and at Arch Insurance Europe as a W&I Underwriter from June 2017 to November 2018. Samuel also gained experience in financial services at Deutsche Bank as a Transaction Structurer and Manager from December 2013 to June 2017. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Solicitor at Travers Smith from April 2012 to December 2013 and at Osborne Clarke from March 2009 to April 2012. Samuel also briefly served as a Legal Executive at RAB Capital from March 2010 to September 2010. Furthermore, they have experience in the leisure industry as a Ski Instructor at Intrawest in 2003.

Samuel Shirley attended Taunton School from 1992 to 2003, where they studied History, Biology, Chemistry, and Geography. Samuel then went on to UCL from 2004 to 2007, graduating with a 2:1 degree in Law. In 2007, they attended the College of Law, where they obtained a Distinction.
