Georgina Thompson

Georgina Thompson is an HDR Student at Future Battery Industries Cooperative Research Centre since November 2023, focusing on advanced studies in chemical and metallurgical engineering. Previously, Georgina served as a Research Assistant and later as a Research and Teaching Assistant at the University of Mines and Technology, Tarkwa, from October 2021 to August 2023, where responsibilities included coordinating metallurgical consultancy projects and conducting various laboratory tests. Additionally, Georgina gained practical experience as an intern at the same institution in 2019, performing leaching tests, bond index work, and other metallurgical assessments. Georgina holds a Bachelor of Science in Minerals Engineering from the University of Mines and Technology and is currently pursuing a Master of Philosophy in Chemical and Metallurgical Engineering at Murdoch University.
