Bob Mullins

Bob Mullins is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the agricultural and biotechnology sectors. Currently serving as a Non Executive Director at InterGrain, New Edge Microbials, Hort Innovation, and Future Food Systems, Bob also holds the position of Chair for both the Scientific Advisory Board at New Edge Microbials and the Investment Committee at Hort Innovation. Bob’s previous roles include significant leadership positions at Syngenta Australia and New Zealand, where responsibilities encompassed regulatory strategies and market growth in specialty crops. Bob's career spans various positions at Syngenta and other organizations, including ForBio, where Bob was CEO, and the Bureau of Sugar Experiment Stations, where Bob managed research teams. Bob holds a PhD in Plant Breeding and other degrees in Technology Management and Agriculture.

Future Food Systems

Future Food Food Systems is an industry led research group established under the Australian Government’s Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) Program and commenced in 2019. The overarching aim of the CRC is to develop technologies, products and services that improve the efficiency, sustainability and nutritional outcomes of global food systems. Its commercial focus is on production of goods that have strong provenance, environmental and health credentials. Headquartered at the University of NSW in Sydney, Australia, the CRC group includes more than 50 industry, government and research partners, including international entities.
