Since inception in 2002, Future Health Biobank has remained the largest and most pioneering UK stem cell bank, continuously setting standards for others to follow.

We were the first private family bank in the UK to specialise in the processing, testing and long term storage of cord blood and cord tissue and since then, we have been entrusted with over 140,000 samples from more than 75,000 families from 75 countries. 

We have been certified and licensed by more regulators than any other stem cell bank. With two laboratories over two geographically separate locations and since incorporation we have been awarded a full HTA license, Swissmedic license, MHRA accreditation, AABB accreditation, and ISO 9001 certification. We are also the only UK family bank to have ever received the prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise.
