Gabriela Zanfir-Fortuna

Gabriela Zanfir-Fortuna is the VP of Global Privacy at Future of Privacy Forum. Gabriela has also worked as a legal officer for EDPS - European Data Protection Supervisor and as a stagiaire for Shared between the Policy and Consultation / Supervision and Enforcement Units.

Gabriela has experience in drafting legal opinions on EU legislative proposals, working on international relations, handling complaints, conducting inquiries and audits, and providing guidance on administrative consultations. Gabriela also has experience in dealing with inadmissible complaints, attending meetings of the Article 29 Working Party International Transfers subgroup, and assisting case officers investigating complaints.

Gabriela Zanfir-Fortuna's educational career consists of a PhD in Juridical Sciences from the University of Craiova, a Certificate of Attendance in EU Law, Institutional Law, Independence and Autonomy of EU institutions from the European University Institute - Academy of EU Law, a Master of Laws (LLM) in Human Rights from the University of Craiova, and a JD Equivalent in Law from Universitatea din Craiova.
