Andrew Muir

Andrew Muir has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Andrew is currently working as an Investment Director at Future Planet Capital, a global venture capital firm focused on investing in high-growth companies that address global challenges. Andrew also serves as a Non-Executive Director at The Smarter Food company, AgPlus Diagnostics Ltd, and Mirico, where they provide strategic guidance and expertise. In addition, Andrew has been involved in various investment and advisory roles, including being a member of the Investment Committee at FSE Fund Managers and Enterprise Fellowships selection committee member at the Royal Society of Edinburgh. Andrew has also been a part of the Consilience Ventures Global Expert Network, where they offer advice and mentorship to startups. Prior to their current roles, Andrew worked as an Investment Director at Midven and served as a Director at Eagle Genomics Ltd. Andrew was also a member of the Follow on Fund panel at BBSRC, supporting the commercialization of research projects.

Andrew Muir received their education from the University of Oxford. Andrew earned a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry (MA) in 1986, followed by a PhD in Chemistry in the years 1986-1989. In addition, they obtained a certification in KPI and Board Reporting from the British Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (BVCA) in 2020.
