Gregor Deans

Vice President Customer Success at FutureOn

Gregor Deans has extensive work experience in the oil and gas industry, with a focus on subsea controls and communications technologies. Gregor has held various roles throughout their career, starting with Kvaerner Oilfield Products Ltd in 1995 as a Subsea Software Engineer. In this role, they developed software applications for subsea production control systems in the North Sea. Gregor then moved on to Kvaerner Oilfield Products Inc in 2000, where they worked as a Senior Subsea Controls Engineer on several fast-track projects in the Gulf of Mexico.

In 2001, Gregor joined Schlumberger Subsea as a Project Engineer, leading a team and managing the Subsea Monitoring and Control System. Gregor then progressed to the role of Subsea Answer Products Manager, where they oversaw the development of real-time analysis and design software applications for subsea projects. Later on, they became the Subsea Surveillance Business Development Manager, responsible for building and supporting the subsea surveillance business within Schlumberger.

In 2011, Gregor joined Total as a Subsea Controls Specialist, working on subsea controls projects until 2020. Currently, they are the Vice President Customer Success at FutureOn, where they oversee customer success and manages relationships.

Throughout their career, Gregor has demonstrated strong technical expertise, project management skills, and a focus on business development in the subsea sector.

Gregor Deans completed their BEng Hns in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from Heriot-Watt University from 1990 to 1994. Following that, they pursued an MSc in Offshore Engineering from Robert Gordon University from 1994 to 1995.
