Gijs Simons is a consultant and researcher in water management at FutureWater since February 2014. Prior experience includes serving as a PhD researcher at TU Delft from March 2012 to September 2021, focusing on the tracking of water resources and water reuse analysis within river basins. Gijs Simons has also worked as a visiting researcher at Thuy Loi University in 2015, and as a project manager at eLEAF from March 2012 to March 2014. Previous roles include hydrologist and remote sensing specialist at WaterWatch NL from July 2010 to March 2012, and hydrogeologist at IF Technology in early 2010, where feasibility studies for energy storage in groundwater were conducted. Gijs Simons holds an MSc in Hydrology and a BSc in Earth Sciences from Utrecht University, as well as a Bilingual VWO diploma in Natural Sciences from College Den Hulster.
