Alex Marmer

Alex Marmer has a diverse work experience in the software engineering field. Alex started their career at Symantec as a Principal Software Engineer in 1997. Alex then moved to Commerce One, where they worked as a Senior Staff Software Engineer for three years, focusing on designing and implementing XML Java Application server and SAP connector.

Following their time at Commerce One, Alex worked at Netscape in the Music Group as a Senior Staff Software Engineer, before joining Browster as a Technical Lead, where they were responsible for leading the engineering team.

In 2006, Alex became a Principal Software Engineer at Jaxtr, where they implemented a Flash Widget used by 10 million people, allowing them to talk over the phones via VoIP. Alex then joined RockYou as a Technical Lead, where they worked until 2009.

At Mindspark, Alex was a Principal Software Engineer and played a significant role in creating components for Mindspark toolbars, beating competitors in Search Assistant, generating 300 million in revenue.

From 2012 to 2015, Alex worked as a Technical Lead at NokNok Labs, contributing to the development of desktop clients and browser extensions.

After their work at NokNok Labs, Alex joined VERA Security as a Principal Software Engineer, where their responsibilities included working on a Windows client that used Win32 APIs virtualization to protect secured documents. Alex also worked on the UI for Windows desktop.

Currently, Alex is employed at Fuze as a Principal Software Engineer.
