Sarjubhai Patel has a diverse work experience in the academic and research fields. Sarjubhai is currently the President and Co-Founder of FYR Diagnostics since August 2016. Prior to this, they had various roles at the University of Montana, including Associate Research Professor, Research Assistant Professor, Senior Research Fellow, and Postdoctoral Fellow from 2003 to 2017. Sarjubhai also worked as a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Montana's COBRE Center for Structural and Functional Neuroscience. Patel began their career as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Johns Hopkins University from 2000 to 2003.

Sarjubhai Patel completed their education in a chronological order. Sarjubhai first pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree in Pharmacology from the University of Sunderland from 1990 to 1993. Following that, they enrolled in the Institute of Psychiatry, King's College London, where they attained a Master of Science (M.Sc) degree in Neuroscience, studying from 1993 to 1994. Lastly, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Neuropharmacology, although the specific institution where they pursued this degree was not provided. Sarjubhai Patel completed their Ph.D. education from 1995 to 2000.
