Daniel Flögel is a research scientist and Ph.D. student at FZI Forschungszentrum Informatik since June 2022, specializing in machine learning methods for human-machine interaction and trajectory planning in high-density environments. Previously, Daniel served as a visiting researcher at the University of Waterloo, focusing on cooperative state estimation for autonomous mobile robots. Prior roles include research assistant at FZI exploring driver assistance systems, a student trainee at Schaeffler working on power electronics simulations, and conducting a bachelor's thesis at Mercedes-AMG GmbH on electrothermal modeling of lithium-ion cells. Daniel's early experience includes leading electrical engineering for KA-RaceIng e.V. in Formula Student racecar projects. Daniel holds a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).
