Stefan Nickel

Stefan Nickel is a distinguished academic and research leader with extensive experience in operations research and related fields. Since April 2009, Stefan has served as a Professor at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and has been the Director of FZI Forschungszentrum Informatik since January 2011. Stefan has held notable editorial roles, including Editor-in-Chief for Elsevier's Operations Research for Health Care since January 2016 and previously for Computers & Operations Research from January 2007 to January 2016. Additionally, Stefan was a Professor at Saarland University from March 2003 to March 2009 and contributed as a member of the Scientific Advisory Board at Fraunhofer ITWM until April 2016.
