Ben Wright

Ben Wright is G2’s Chief Operating Officer, responsible for the firm’s overall operations and executing the growth strategy with a focus on G2’s restructuring, buy-side, and capital markets teams. He focuses his time on recruiting, talent development, finance and accounting, and sales and marketing, among other activities. Ben also assists clients by providing sell-side, buy-side, and capital raise investment banking advisory services. Ben also has significant experience executing balance sheet and operational restructurings of distressed firms, both as an investor and a consultant. From 2016 to 2018, Ben served as G2’s Director of Operations with overall responsibility for mandate execution, resourcing, recruiting, among other functions. Ben has also been a Director and Vice President with G2, focused on executing on investment banking and restructuring engagements, with a focus on clients in the packaging, expedited logistics, construction, and business services sectors.

Prior to joining G2 in 2014, Ben was an associate with Boston based Bain Capital Credit (formerly Sankaty Advisors), the credit focused investment manager within Bain Capital. Ben focused on private debt and equity transactions for their Middle Market Group, where he oversaw portfolio companies, invested in new transactions, and conducted numerous restructurings. He has worked across diverse industries including construction, industrials, restaurants, energy, retail, healthcare, software, and media, among others.

Ben graduated from Harvard College, magna cum laude with a BA in Economics. He also holds a Masters in Business Administration from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business.
