Dan Hobin

With over 20 years experience building technology companies with high growth, Dan oversees G5′s strategic direction, execution, and planning. Most recently, Dan was the Founder and CEO of SmashCast, Inc., a Web-based digital publishing company out of San Francisco, CA. Dan previously held key roles in both marketing and sales at Beyond.com, and its spin-out company, CyberSource Corporation (San Jose, CA). Dan is a co-founder of Bend Venture Conference, a major local event connecting early stage companies with seed investment opportunities, and participates on the advisory board for OSU Cascades.

Dan completed his B.A. at the University of California at Santa Barbara in Asian Studies with a focus on Japanese Business. He is also a graduate of the Shibusawa International School in Fukaya, Japan. Dan lives in Bend with his wife, Sara, and their three boys.
