Carla Alviano

Carla Alviano is an experienced legal professional currently serving as Deputy General Counsel at G8 Education Ltd since September 2022. Prior to this role, Carla worked as a Senior Lawyer at the City of Gold Coast for a brief tenure in 2022 and held significant positions at Specsavers Australia & New Zealand from November 2016 to February 2022, including Head of Legal ANZ and Senior Legal Counsel ANZ. Carla’s legal expertise is backed by earlier experience at Wesfarmers as Legal Counsel, advising the Coles Group of businesses, and at Marks and Spencer in the UK, where Carla served as a Commercial Lawyer. Carla has a robust background in corporate finance from Addleshaw Goddard, where Carla worked as an Associate, and has had secondments at Sainsbury's and BRITVIC PLC. Carla began the legal career as an Articled Clerk at Blake Dawson, progressing to a Lawyer in the Corporate Team. Carla holds a BA/LLB (Hons) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Psychology from Monash University.
