Stewart Silk has over 25 years of work experience in the field of human resources. Stewart is currently serving as the Head of Capability Culture & Engagement at G8 Education Ltd since April 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of People Transformation Program Director at the same company from October 2021 to April 2022. From October 2019 to October 2021, they worked as the Head of People Operations at G8 Education Ltd.
Before joining G8 Education Ltd, Stewart worked at Michael Hill for 14 years. Stewart served as the People & Culture Transformation Lead from February 2018 to September 2019, Group Human Resources Executive from November 2007 to February 2018, and Retail Human Resources Manager from November 2005 to November 2007.
Prior to their tenure at Michael Hill, Stewart worked at TerryWhite Chemmart as the National Human Resources Manager from May 2004 to November 2005 and as the Regional Human Resources Manager from June 2000 to May 2004.
Earlier in their career, Stewart worked as a Recruitment Consultant at Securicor Recruitment Services from January 1999 to May 2000 and as a Human Resources Consultant and Officer at MYER from February 1996 to January 1999.
Throughout their career, Stewart has gained extensive experience in various aspects of human resources, including people operations, culture and engagement, transformation, and recruitment.
Stewart Silk obtained their Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a specialization in Organisational Communication from the University of Canberra, where they studied from 1993 to 1995. Later, in 2003, they pursued further education at Griffith University, completing a Graduate Diploma in Human Resources and Industrial Relations.
