Karen Aboagye

Karen Aboagye has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Karen is currently employed as a Staff Accountant at GACC South - German American Chamber of Commerce of the Southern U.S., Inc. since April 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Financial Accountant in a self-employed capacity from January 2006.

From June 2006 to October 2014, Karen worked as a Controller at Cymphonix and Untangle, where they were responsible for producing monthly GAAP financial statements, managing day-to-day cash flow, overseeing order processing, payroll, payables, and receivables. Karen also assisted in analyzing and projecting financials and worked with outside firms to complete yearly audits and annual tax filings.

Before their self-employment, Karen held the position of Staff Accountant at Pangea Equities and FinanciallyFit Inc. from January 2004 to June 2006. Prior to that, they worked as a GL Accounting Clerk at Brigham Young University Hawaii from May 2002 to December 2003.

Karen's early career includes roles as a Payroll Specialist at Employer Solutions Group from November 1999 to November 2001, an Accounting Clerk at E. Ecel International from June 1997 to November 1999, and a Tax Intern at Gilbert & Stewart, CPA's from January 1997 to June 1997.

Karen Aboagye has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting & Information Systems from Brigham Young University–Hawaii. Karen also holds an Associate's degree in Accounting from Utah Valley University.
