Dr. Maria G. Colmenares

Maria G. Colmenares has worked as a Lead materials engineer at GaeaStar since March 2020. Prior to that, they worked at Technische Universität Berlin where they held two roles. From March 2017 to March 2020, they were a Post-doc researcher and creator, involved in a project focused on the production of functional silica-based materials for catalysis. Maria G. filed three patents and raised €1.2 million in project funding. From January 2013 to February 2017, they worked as a Research Assistant.

Maria G. Colmenares received their Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from Universidad de los Andes (VE) between the years 2003 and 2009. Following this, they pursued a Master's Degree in Nanostructured Materials for Nanotechnological Applications at Universidad de Zaragoza from 2010 to 2012. Lastly, Maria completed their education by earning a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Nanomaterials Engineering from Technische Universität Berlin from 2012 to 2016.
