James Yost

James Yost, PLA, is a seasoned landscape architect with extensive experience in landscape design and urban planning. Currently serving as a Senior Landscape Architect at GAI Consultants, Inc. since November 2016, James previously held key positions such as East End District Program Director at Charleston Main Streets, where responsibilities included coordination of program committees and budget management. Prior roles include Land Planner at E.L. Robinson Engineering, focusing on urban planning, parks design, and site feasibility studies, as well as Lab Manager at WVU Computer Labs, providing support for software use. James began his career as a Summer Intern at Terra Salis Garden Center and Landscape Design, working on garden designs and installations. Academically, James holds a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from West Virginia University and a certification in AutoCAD Technologies from Carver Career Center.
