Rebecca Nahmias

Rebecca Nahmias has extensive work experience in the field of human resources. Rebecca currently holds the role of HR Director Europe at GALACTIC, starting in November 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Human Resources and Administration at Phillips Carbon Black Limited from April 2021 to November 2022. Before that, they worked as the Human Resources Manager at Nexans from October 2020 to March 2021.

Rebecca's earlier work experience includes a long tenure at Doyen, where they held the position of Human Resources Manager from October 2010 to June 2020. Rebecca was responsible for providing information and support to the management team and various departments, participating in defining human resources strategies, and implementing recruitment and skills management policies.

Prior to Doyen, they worked as a Human Resources Officer at Interparking from June 2005 to October 2010. Rebecca also had brief roles as the HR Director at Giqua s.a. co/ Green Residence in 2004, as well as in HR and event management at Etablissements Ph. Gillet sprl – Presta World Evènements in 2004.

Earlier in their career, they gained valuable experience in crisis management and defense operations as part of the Belgian Atlantic Alliance Association and NATO's Planning and Defense and Crisis Management Department. Rebecca also worked as an IT assistant at Energetra s.a. from 2000 to 2001.

Rebecca Nahmias has a strong educational background in international relations, comparative politics, and philology. Rebecca began their education at Collège Saint-Quirin from 1989 to 1995, where they completed their humanities studies. Following this, from 1995 to 1998, they attended Université de Liège, where they pursued their Candidatures in philology, specializing in languages and literature of the Germanic region. Rebecca then moved on to Université Catholique de Louvain from 1998 to 2000, where they obtained their Licences en philologie, continuing their focus on Germanic languages and literature. Afterwards, from 2000 to 2002, they pursued their DEC en sciences politiques at the same institution, further specializing in international relations and comparative politics. Lastly, in 2002, Rebecca Nahmias completed their DEA in Relations internationales et politique comparée – 3ème cycle from Université Catholique de Louvain, concluding their formal education.
