Somen Das

Somen Das has a diverse work experience in the field of software quality assurance and automation engineering. Somen started their career at Tesco Technology as a Senior Software Engineer from 2011 to 2015. Somen then worked at Medialets as a Manual and Automation Test Engineer from 2015 to 2016, where they analyzed system requirements, developed test plans and scripts, and tested applications manually and with automated tools. Somen then joined New York Life Insurance Company as a Test Automation Engineer from 2017 to 2018, where they verified requirements coverage, created test plans and scripts, and performed testing and reporting throughout the testing life cycle. Somen then joined Altice USA as a Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer from 2018 to 2022, where they analyzed system requirements, developed test plans and cases, and collaborated with product management teams in an Agile environment. Currently, they are working at GalaxE.Solutions as a Lead Software Quality Assurance Engineer from 2022.

Somen Das holds a Master of Science degree in Global Finance and Computer Science from The City University of New York, which they completed from 2016 to 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Computer Applications degree in Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services from the London School of Commerce in London, United Kingdom, from 2013 to 2015. Somen also achieved a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Cardiff Metropolitan University between 2010 and 2013. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Java, Selenium, Python, Cucumber Automation from The Careerist in 2019, and in Manual and Automation Software Testing from Bigitec Studio in 2016.
