Ron Nakamura

Ron Nakamura, MBA, RHIA has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Ron is currently working at Galen Mental Health as the Vice President of Payer Strategy, a role they have held since May 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Rogers Behavioral Health as the Manager of Managed Care Contracting from October 2016 to May 2022. Additionally, Ron has worked as a Principal at RSN Consulting LLC from 2013 to 2016, a Managing Consultant at IBM in 2013, the Director of Managed Care Contracting at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin in 2011-2012, the Director of Managed Care at Froedtert Health from 2002 to 2011, and the Manager of Medical Audit and Recovery Operations at UnitedHealth Group from 1999 to 2002. Ron has also had experience as a Senior Consultant at Zimmerman in 1999 and as the Manager of Coding and Reimbursement at Loyola University Chicago from 1991 to 1998.

Ron Nakamura, MBA, RHIA holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Management from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, which they obtained from 2001 to 2003. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Health Information Management from the University of Illinois Chicago between 1985 and 1989. Ron is also a Registered Health Information Management Administrator certified by the American Health Information Management Association.
