Dr. Margaret B. Montgomery is an experienced educator specializing in American History, currently serving as an American History Teacher at The Galloway School since August 2021, where courses include AP United States History, Southern Queer History, and American Studies, along with sponsoring a student-focused LGBTQ club. In addition, Dr. Montgomery has been an Instructor of Record at Jefferson State Community College since August 2019, responsible for creating and implementing online survey courses. As an APUSH rater for The College Board since June 2018, Dr. Montgomery oversees the grading of APUSH exams to ensure equity in scoring. Previously, experience includes tutoring APUSH students at Applerouth Education and various academic roles at The University of Alabama, where responsibilities encompassed designing courses, counseling students, and assessing performance. Dr. Montgomery holds a PhD in History and multiple degrees in History and Southern Studies from The University of Alabama, University of Mississippi, and The University of the South.
