Trent Yang has a diverse and extensive work experience in the sustainable and cleantech industries. Trent is currently serving as the President and Co-Founder of Galway Sustainable Capital, Inc, a position they have held since 2021. Prior to this, Trent held various roles including Board Member at Colorado Cleantech Industry Association from 2010 onwards, Advisor at Blackstone Entrepreneurs Network Colorado starting in 2015, and Board Member at Carbon America from 2021. Trent also served as a Board Member at Lightning eMotors and Bolder Industries from 2019 to 2020. Trent's previous experience includes working as the Vice President of Private Equity at AMG National Trust Bank from 2013 to 2020, where they were responsible for investing in sustainable industries such as renewable energy and circular economy. Trent also had a role as the Director of CU Cleantech at the University of Colorado from 2009 to 2013. Additionally, Trent has experience as a Founder, CEO, and board member at Clean Membranes from 2008 to 2010, and as a Venture Capitalist at Globespan Capital Partners from 2006 to 2008.
Trent Yang obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder, where they studied from 1996 to 2000. Trent pursued further education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they completed two Master of Science degrees. From 2000 to 2003, Trent Yang earned an M.S. in Aerospace Engineering as well as an M.S. in Technology Management & Policy.
