Pranam Chatterjee has a diverse work experience spanning multiple fields. Pranam is currently an Assistant Professor at Duke University, starting in July 2022. Prior to this, they co-founded two companies: Gameto in 2020, focusing on biotechnology and female reproductive longevity, and UbiquiTx, Inc. in 2020, focusing on computationally-designed protein fusions.

Before their entrepreneurial endeavors, Pranam worked as a Carlos M. Varsavsky Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School from September 2020 to June 2022. Pranam also gained research experience as a Graduate Research Student at the MIT Media Lab from June 2016 to September 2020, where they developed CRISPR technologies.

Pranam's earlier work includes a role as an Immunoscientist at Pfizer in 2014, an Immunology Undergraduate Research Student at Harvard Medical School from 2011 to 2014, an Immunobioengineering Research Student at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from August 2013 to May 2014, and a Cancer Genetics Research Student at Dartmouth-Hitchcock from January 2012 to May 2013. Pranam began their research career as an Agricultural Biotechnology Research Student at Fort Valley State University from May 2010 to May 2011.

Throughout their career, Pranam has contributed to various research projects and developed novel technologies in biotechnology, genetics, and immunology.

Pranam Chatterjee pursued a comprehensive education in the field of Media Arts and Sciences (MAS) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Starting in 2013, Chatterjee completed a Bachelor of Science (SB) degree in Course 6-7: Computer Science and Molecular Biology, which they concluded in 2016. Following this, from 2016 to 2018, Chatterjee embarked on a Master of Science (SM) program in Media Arts and Sciences (MAS) at MIT. Lastly, Chatterjee pursued advanced studies at MIT and completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Media Arts and Sciences (MAS) from 2018 to 2020.
