Staff Application Engineer, User Experience at Gamma Technologies

Ben Grimshaw has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. In 2022, they joined Gamma Technologies as a Product Engineer. Prior to that, from 2013 to 2022, they worked at Ex Libris, starting as a Special Education Teacher at Oakland Unified School District from 2008 to 2009.

From 2009 to 2011, they were a Substitute Teacher at New Urban Learning. In 2010, they worked at the U.S. Census Bureau in multiple roles, including Recruiter, ESL interpreter, Data Entry Supervisor, and Quality Assurance.

From 2012 to 2013, Ben was the Information Technology Coordinator at Sevier County Public Library, and in 2013, they briefly served as a Material Services Supervisor at Oak Park Public Library.

At Ex Libris, Ben held various positions starting as a Support Analyst, Tier 1, from 2013 to 2015. From 2015 to 2017, they worked as a Support Analyst, Tier 2, where they managed customer issues and presented technical information at corporate conferences. From 2017 to 2019, they served as an Implementation Consultant, delivering technical training and advising customers on best practices and workflow automation. Finally, from 2019 to 2022, they worked as a Project Manager, leading cross-functional teams and managing data migrations for libraries to a unified cloud platform.

Ben Grimshaw attended the University of Michigan from 2003 to 2007, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. Additionally, they obtained a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in January 2019, and a Certified Customer Success Manager (CCSM) Level 1 certification from SuccessCOACHING in December 2021.
