Alex Kellner

Director, Advertising at Gannett

Alex Kellner is the current Director of Advertising at Gannett. Alex has extensive experience in sales and management, having previously worked as Sales Director and General Manager for various companies. Before joining Gannett, Kellner was the Advertising Director for Asheville, NC, where they led all of Gannett’s T35 group in year-over-year improvement and achievement to goal. Alex transitioned to Regional Sales Director for Cars.com in January 2016. Prior to that, they were the General Manager for MarineMax, where they were responsible for overall P&L for three rooftop marine dealerships. In their final quarter with MarineMax, they resulted in the first profitable quarter in 7 years for location. Alex has also held positions as an Account Executive and Automotive Sales Manager. Kellner joined Destination Network as General Manager in August 2016 and remained in that position until December 2019 when they took on their current role at Gannett.

Alex Kellner earned their MBA in marketing from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and their BS in business from Newberry College. Alex also attended Brevard College.
