Kevin Poortinga

Kevin Poortinga is an accomplished media executive with extensive experience in digital product development and innovative storytelling within the journalism industry. Currently serving as Senior Vice President at Gannett's USA TODAY NETWORK, Kevin leads initiatives focused on interactive storytelling and digital optimization across over 250 newsrooms. Prior roles include Vice President of Innovation, where Kevin managed the USA TODAY NETWORK Lab, and General Manager of Product Development, overseeing digital products across 80 local markets. Kevin's earlier tenure at The Indianapolis Star emphasized product development and editorial strategies, while earlier positions at The Times of Northwest Indiana and Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier honed skills in new media development and graphic design. Kevin holds a BS in Business Administration from Truman State University.
