Madeleine Filloux

Madeleine Filloux has a diverse work experience in the field of data visualization and engineering. Madeleine started their career as an Assessment Analysis Intern at the University of Michigan's Taubman Health Sciences Library in 2013, where they worked on integrating bioinformatics tools into a knowledge management platform.

In 2014, Madeleine had internships at GE Aviation as a Business Intelligence Intern, where they collaborated with a team to develop proof of concept for business intelligence tools, and at 3M as an R&D Intern, where they consulted with 3M business divisions to develop data-driven software products.

In 2015, Madeleine joined 3M as a Data Visualization Engineer, where they continued to work on developing data-driven software products by consulting with business divisions. Madeleine then moved to the University of Michigan in 2018 as an Information Visualization Teaching Assistant and taught Data Visualization and Analytics Boot Camp.

From 2019 to 2020, Madeleine worked as an Adjunct Instructor at the University of St. Thomas and as a Senior Visualization Engineer at Land O'Lakes, Inc. At Land O'Lakes, they analyzed, transformed, and visualized data across various domains and led data and user experience strategy for the Truterra division.

In 2020, Madeleine joined GoodLeap as a Senior Data Visualization Engineer, where they led a team of engineers in migrating dashboards from a legacy PHP codebase to a new stack and developed a custom business intelligence web app.

Currently, Madeleine is working as a Data Visualization Engineer at Gantry, starting in 2022.

Madeleine Filloux obtained their Certificate in Full Stack Web Development from the University of Minnesota in 2018. Prior to that, they attended the University of Michigan - School of Information from 2013 to 2015, where they earned a Master of Science in Information. Madeleine'sfield of study at the University of Michigan included Information Analysis and Retrieval as well as Human Computer Interaction. Madeleine's undergraduate education was at Brown University from 2007 to 2011, where they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics - Biology. In addition to their formal education, Madeleine has also obtained several certifications. Madeleine received a certification in HDP Data Science from Hortonworks University in November 2018. Furthermore, they are a Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®) and a Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®). These certifications were obtained from Scrum Alliance in January 2017 and December 2016, respectively.
