Barry Stovold is an experienced geotechnical engineer currently with Gardline Geosurvey Limited since July 2017. Prior to this role, Barry served as an exploration geologist at IMC Mining Group Pty Ltd from August 2011 to December 2013, focusing on thermal and metallurgical coal deposits in Central and southern Queensland and gaining minor experience in Nickel laterites in New Caledonia. Responsibilities included core logging, coal quality and geotechnical sampling, supervising drilling rigs, and training new geologists. Earlier in Barry's career, an assistant geologist role was held at Barrick Gold Corporation in June 2008, working on geological mapping and geochemical sampling in Romania during a degree placement. Barry Stovold holds a Master of Geology (MGeol) from the University of Southampton, completed in 2009.
