Brooke Franchuk

Brooke Franchuk, P.Eng., is a Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in product design, mechanical engineering, and research. Currently serving as a Mechanical Engineer 2 at Garmin since February 2024, Brooke previously held the position of Mechanical Design Engineer at Tangent Design Engineering from October 2018 to January 2024, where responsibilities included leading design teams, optimizing production processes, and ensuring compliance with various industry standards. Before that, Brooke worked as a Research Assistant at Monash University, focusing on optimizing a hybrid-robotic knee brace, and gained practical experience as a Product Development Engineering Coop at SWITCH Materials and a Research Engineer Coop at Ballard Power Systems. Brooke earned a Bachelor of Applied Science with Distinction in Mechanical Engineering from The University of British Columbia between 2013 and 2018.
