Lubomir Baramov is a seasoned professional in control engineering with extensive experience in the automotive industry and research. Currently serving as a Technical Leader at Garrett - Advancing Motion since October 2018, Lubomir specializes in modeling and advanced control of automotive engine air paths. Prior to this role, Lubomir worked at Honeywell for over 17 years as a Senior Research Engineer, focusing on the development of algorithms for advanced process control and estimation. Earlier experience includes working as a Research Fellow at the University of Southampton, conducting research on fluid flow control, and a JSPS Research Fellow at The University of Tokyo, where robust nonlinear control was a primary research focus. Additional roles include a part-time researcher at the Institute of Information Theory and Automation of the ASCR and an Assistant Professor at Czech Technical University in Prague, where Lubomir taught control theory. Lubomir holds a PhD in Control Engineering from Osaka University and an MSc in Technical Cybernetics from Czech Technical University in Prague.
