William Andrew Coniglio

Senior Research & Development Scientist at Garrett Metal Detectors

William Andrew Coniglio, Ph. D., serves as a Senior Research & Development Scientist at Garrett Metal Detectors since September 2021, while concurrently functioning as a Researcher at the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory since September 2014. Coniglio’s work includes supporting the design of next-generation multi-megawatt resistive magnet power supplies and enhancing scientific instrumentation capabilities for advanced research magnets. Previously, Coniglio held positions as Research Faculty II/Instrumentation Scientist, Postdoctoral Research Associate, and Engineering Consultant, contributing significantly to the understanding of electrical conduction in heavy metals and the development of rf instrumentation. Coniglio completed a Ph.D. in Experimental Solid State Physics at Clark University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Mathematics from Marietta College.
