Francesca Calà

Francesca Calà has extensive experience in the legal field, with a career spanning over two decades. Francesca began their career in 2000 as a Lawyer at Studio Legale Ruffolo, where they worked until 2004. During this time, they also served as a Lecturer of Private Law of Communications at Università di Bologna from 2001 to 2002.

From 2004 to 2008, Francesca worked as an Independent Legal Professional, advising businesses on various commercial matters, including IT, IP, trademark, e-commerce, data protection, and advertising issues. Francesca also handled commercial litigation before local courts.

In 2008, they briefly worked as a Contract Lawyer at Kirkland & Ellis before joining Farringdons.Solicitors as a Consultant.

Francesca then joined Interoute in 2009, where they held multiple roles over a span of nine years. Francesca started as a Legal Counsel from 2009 to 2012, then served as a Senior Legal Counsel from 2012 to 2016, and finally became a Legal Director from 2016 to 2018.

After leaving Interoute, they worked at JUST EAT as a Senior Legal Counsel on an interim basis from 2018 to 2019. Following this, Francesca joined Allego as a Senior Legal Consultant from 2019 to 2020.

In 2020, they worked as the Head of Legal and Compliance - Interim at Diabetes UK before taking up their current position as the Head of Legal at Garrison.

Francesca Calà began their education journey in 1995 at Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna, where they pursued a Law Degree (Laurea). Francesca completed their studies at this university in 2000. In 2008, Francesca attended BPP Law School, where they enrolled in the QLTT Course.

In terms of additional certifications, Francesca obtained admission to the Bar in Italy in February 2004, through the institution Corte d'Appello di Bologna. Subsequently, in February 2009, they became admitted to the Roll of Solicitors of England and Wales, certified by the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
