Stefan Stoeckigt has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. In 2015, they worked as a System Engineer at Garrison Technology. Prior to that, they were a Research Engineer - Software at Optos from 2013 to 2014, where they led the development of an ophthalmic retinal scanning system. In 2013, they briefly worked as a Research Assistant at HeadSpace Neuromarketing. From 2012 to 2012, they were a Research Assistant at CapeRay Medical. Stefan's earliest work experience includes being a Student at the University of Cape Town from 2008 to 2012, where they conducted research in biomedical engineering and also worked as a Tutor and Research Assistant. Stefan had also interned at Disa Vascular as a Student/Intern in 2005.

Stefan Stoeckigt completed their education in a sequential order. Stefan first attended the University of Cape Town from 2005 to 2008, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree with a specialization in Mechatronics Engineering. Following this, they pursued further studies at the same institution from 2009 to 2013, earning a Master of Science in Engineering degree in Biomedical Engineering. Additionally, in October 2012, Stefan obtained a certification in Machine Learning from Coursera.
