Angli Xue has a diverse work experience spanning different research roles and institutions. They started their career as a Team Leader of the iGEM competition team at Zhejiang University in 2013. In 2014, they completed a Summer Research Internship at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. From 2015 to 2016, Angli worked as a Research Assistant at Zhejiang University, where they analyzed multi-omics data and investigated evolutionary conservation in Drosophila melanogaster. They then pursued a PhD at The University of Queensland from 2016 to 2021, focusing on studying the genetic architecture of type 2 diabetes and addictive behaviors. Currently, Angli is working as a Postdoctoral Scientist at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research.
Angli Xue began their education journey by completing a Bachelor of Agronomy degree at Zhejiang University from 2011 to 2015, with a focus on Plant Protection. Following this, they pursued further education abroad and attended the Hebrew University of Jerusalem's Robert H. Smith Faculty of Agriculture, Food, and Environment for a summer school program in 2015, specializing in Agriculture, General.
Angli Xue then continued their academic pursuits at The University of Queensland, where they completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from 2016 to 2021. Their doctoral research focused on Statistical Genetics and Human Complex Traits.
In addition to their formal education, Angli Xue has pursued various certifications. They obtained certifications in Data Analysis with R Specialization, Linear Regression and Modeling, Inferential Statistics, Introduction to Probability and Data, R Programming, and The Data Scientist's Toolbox. These certifications were obtained from Coursera, with the most recent being the Data Analysis with R Specialization certification in January 2023.
