Research And Biobank Scientist at Garvan Institute of Medical Research

Ashraf Zaman has a diverse work experience in the medical research field. Ashraf currently works as a Conjoint Lecturer of Medicine at UNSW since September 2020. Prior to that, they were a Research and Biobank Scientist at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research starting from October 2019. Ashraf also worked at the Charlie Teo Foundation, first as a Brain Tumor Bank Co-ordinator from July 2019 to March 2022, and then as a Research Scientist from January 2019 to June 2019. Before that, they were a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Children's Cancer Institute from August 2018 to December 2018. Ashraf Zaman's earliest work experience was as a Researcher and Erasmus Mundus Tutor at the University of Rome "Tor Vergata" from November 2011 to June 2014.

Ashraf Zaman has a strong educational background in the field of Medicine and Microbiology. Ashraf pursued their Ph.D. in Medicine at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). Prior to that, they participated in the Erasmus Mundus Masters Exchange Program at Università degli Studi di Padova, where they focused on Biotechnology. Ashraf also holds a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Microbiology from the University of Dhaka, and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree, also in Microbiology, from the same university.
