Hanjie Wu

Molecular Scientist at Garvan Institute of Medical Research

Hanjie Wu has extensive research experience in the medical field. They are currently working as a Molecular Scientist at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research since March 2022. Prior to this, Hanjie was a PhD candidate at both the University of Technology Sydney from August 2017 and UNSW from April 2017 to September 2017. Before pursuing their PhD, Hanjie worked at BGI-Shenzhen for several years in different research roles, including Liquid Biopsy Group researcher from April 2014 to June 2016, Microfluidics Group researcher from January 2013 to April 2014, Single Cell Manipulation Group researcher from April 2010 to December 2012, and as an intern in the R&D Department from November 2009 to April 2010.

Hanjie Wu obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Biological Engineering from South China University of Technology in the years 2007 to 2011. Later, in 2017, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Mechanical Engineering at UNSW, but their studies at this institution lasted only for one year. Afterward, from 2017 to 2021, Hanjie Wu attended the University of Technology Sydney, where they successfully completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering.
