Ian Rose

Ian Rose has extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as the Compressor Decarbonisation Lead at Gas Networks Ireland since May 2012, where responsibilities include delivering decarbonisation projects for compressor station assets. Previously, Ian has held various management positions at Gas Networks Ireland, including Quality Assurance Manager and Health and Safety Manager, as well as Interconnector Operations Manager overseeing significant pipeline operations. Ian also worked as a Process Safety Project Manager at Ervia and has a strong background in engineering and safety from tenure at BGE and ConocoPhillips, where roles included Grid Engineer and Environmental Lead. Ian's career commenced in the Merchant Navy with Louis Dreyfus Armateurs, and educational qualifications include a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Engineering Technology and a Diploma in Nautical Science from respective institutions.
