Candace Baer has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Candace started their career as a Clinical Business Manager at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, where they managed the operations and fiscal performance of a multi-specialty group practice. Candace then served as a Department Administrator, overseeing all operations and financial aspects of the department. Candace also worked as a Senior Management Analyst, Project Director, and Director of Cancer Medicine at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, where they were responsible for strategic planning, project management, and business operations of the largest division within the Cancer Center.

After their tenure at M.D. Anderson, Baer worked at NYU Langone Health as an Assistant Vice President, leading the operations of a large ambulatory network. Candace then moved on to UT Southwestern Medical Center as an Associate Vice President, where they led the administrative and operational activities of ambulatory care services.

Baer's most recent role was at Solis Mammography, where they served as the Senior Vice President, overseeing all locations in the central and west territories. Candace was responsible for joint venture partnership development, technology deployment, and market strategy.

Currently, Baer is working at Gastro Care Partners as the Chief Operating Officer. In this role, they are responsible for enterprise operational efficiency and implementing processes to accelerate growth. Candace partners with a clinical workforce to administer gastroenterology and digestive services across a network of outpatient locations and endoscopy centers.

Candace Baer earned a Master's degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis between 1997 and 1999. Prior to that, they obtained a BS in Biology and Sociology from Emory University, completing their studies between 1993 and 1997. Additionally, Candace has obtained additional certifications as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from MGMA and a FACHE from the American College of Healthcare Executives.
